Importing demo data
When you install Property Hive for the first time, it will be completely blank. No data is added.
If you don't have a property import to configure or any real data to enter, we offer a quick and easy way to dynamically insert some demo data. This can be useful for when you want to test the features and functionality of Property Hive for demonstration or planning purposes.
- When Property Hive is activated for the first time you'll be presented with a notification, giving you the option to import demo data. Click 'Import Demo Data'.

ℹ️ If you've dismissed this message or don't see it, you can find the option again at any time by navigating to 'Property Hive' > 'Settings' > 'Demo Data'.
- You'll then need to activate the demo data feature. Click 'Activate Demo Data Feature'.

- Toggle the Demo Data feature on.

- On the same page, click the 'Demo Data' tab at the top of the page.

- Click the 'Generate Demo Data' button.

When the green bar is full, the demo data generation is complete. Each time you click the 'Generate Demo Data' button, 10 random data items for different sections of Property Hive are generated (properties, contacts, viewings etc.).
Click the 'Generate Demo Data' button as many times as you want to keep generating more demo data in sets of 10 items.

Deleting demo data
Once you've finished experimenting with the demo data, you can delete by following these steps.
- From the left-hand menu in WordPress, navigate to 'Property Hive' > 'Settings'.
- Click the 'Demo Data' tab at the top of the page.

- Click the 'Delete Data' button:

ℹ️ Note that deleting data via this method will only delete demo data and will ignore any data inserted from another sources (e.g. entered manually or imported).
