Using checklists

An introduction to using checklists

With the checklist items configured, checklists can be utilised by accessing a record within Property Hive that has checklist items assigned to it.

For example, let's imagine you have checklist items setup to show in posts with type 'Sale':

Clicking into a sale record will show the checklist(s) accordingly in the top-right corner in it's own meta box:

Here you can tick off which items have been done and, if the checklist item has the 'Item type' setting set to 'Text', 'Dropdown' or 'Date', fill in the additional information relevant to that item.

Multiple checklists

By clicking the 'Add new checklist' button you can add as many checklists as you require.

This can be useful in the case tracking a sales progression chain, for example. You might have one checklist per property in the chain:

In this scenario you can give each checklist a name to differentiate them, click to expand or hide each checklist, delete checklists, and see at a glance how many items in each checklist have been completed.

Checklist progression in lists

Sticking with the above example of a sales checklist, the checklist progression can also be seen from the main list of sales in a new column allowing you to see which items require attention.
